The Demotion of Pluto: Not a Planet HomeThis is a featured page

Pluto is a planet a few years back with two small moons, Nix and Hydra. When it was first discovered or more aptly located in 1930, many were amazed on how such a small spatial body is a planet. However, as many requirements are put into before considering a planet, 2006 marked it as a dwarf planet instead. The Demotion of Pluto: Not a Planet Home - The Demotion of Pluto: Not a Planet

Human beings may not necessarily have much direct benefit from Pluto being ‘demoted’ to a dwarf planet, but the attachment of human beings to Pluto as a God is just as strong. Still, the demotion could very well serve a higher purpose as this dwarf is now the largest in the Kuiper belt, along with Eris and the other is Ceres. Academicians would have expressed much of their dismay or appreciation of this change in the form of essay paper assignments but many are thrilled with the possibility of the Kuiper belt. Thus, some custom essay paper assignments have boldly theorized on this belt as the nearest system. This is like having the nearest neighbors even if they are small planets. Thus, human dictionary gained another word in the dictionary as this major discovery is announced. “Plutoed” is now almost synonymous with that of demotion and devaluation, used even for a person or a thing. More gains may be in store for humans in the next few discoveries about Pluto and the Kuiper belt. By the way, it is the International Astronomical Union which ‘demoted’ Pluto and essentially gave it the number 134340.
